Professor Naskar did his PhD form University of Twente, The Netherlands with Prof. Dr. J W M Noordermeer. Since August 2004, he joined Rubber Technology Centre, IIT Kharagpur as a Faculty member. Currently he is holding the position of a full Professor. In 2005 he received DPI Patent Award from The Netherlands. In 2008 he received prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship from Germany. In 2016 he received as the first Indian faculty the prestigious Morand Lambla Award in Lyon, France from International Polymer Processing Society (PPS) and currently he is Institute Chair Professor at IIT Kharagpur. He also received Distinguished Faculty Award from VENUS, Chennai in 2021. He has published over 180 journal papers and has 6 patents.
