Capt. Amit Jain (Retd.) Registrar, IIT Kharagpur
Captain Amit Jain was commissioned in the Indian Navy in 1988. He graduated from National Defence Academy in 1986, he also completed his M. Sc. In Defence and Strategic Studies from Defence Services Staff College Wellington in 2001 and PGDBM in Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune in 2014.
During his career in the Indian Navy Spanning over three decades, he has served in numerous ships as Navigating Officer, Operation Officer and Executive Officer. He is a Navigation & Direction specialist. He also commanded INS Dwarka at Okha and was Executive Officer of INS Angre. He was also associated with Project Seabird for eight years. He is a recipient of commendations by the Chief of the Naval Staff in 1992 and 2008.
