Research Areas

Considering my past experience I would like to continue with Academic activity related to Cryogenics & Superconductivity for Particle Accelerator, particularly on 2 K system, SC  RF cavity and Magnet. I would like to take Research and Development activities on Superconducting Technology  based on HTS for MRI, Magnetic Levitation and Power application. These will be future thurst area applicable for common mankind.  Cryogenics and Superconductivity is not known to UG students and  It will be me  pleasure to popularise these subjects throgh lectures. We have taken initiative on collaboration with Institutes in abroad actively engaged on cryogenic  enginnering  and Superconducting Technology and with that we would like to see that IIT, Kharagpur is recognised with the hub of Superconductivity and Cryogenics. LNG and Cold Chain will be another interesting subject, where our Department can play an important role.
