With an education background in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Biosciences, my broad research interest is to analyze and understand the complexities between scientific innovations and their protection. My specific research interest has been in the interdisciplinary area of biotechnology and IPR, more specifically on bio-derived products (such as bio-drugs including both biotechnologically derived medicines and herbal medicines) and IPR and their commercialization issues. The other areas in which my research focuses on are IP issues in pharmaceutics, Geographical Indications, Plant variety Protection, and IP and competition law issues.
