Dr C. Nahak is working as Professor of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He joined the institute as an Assistant Professor in 2003. He received his MSc and MPhil. in Mathematics from Utkal University Bhubaneswar in years 1988 and 1990, respectively. He received his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India in 1997. Earlier he was working as an Assistant Professor at NIT Rourkela (2002-2003). Dr Nahak has been awarded the BOYSCAST fellowship from the DST Government of India for pursuing postdoctoral research in the field of Numerical Optimization in Old Dominion University, USA (1998-99). He awarded the Young Scientist Award (Physical Science) of Government of Odisha in year 2002. His field of research areas includes Applied Functional Analysis and Optimization, Fractional Calculus, VI-CP, EP-RO. Dr Nahak has published more than 125 research papers in his credit. He completed three research Project funded by Govt. of India. Presently he is working on a Matrix Projected funded by Govt of India. He has supervised 13 PhD and about 20 Master] dissertations. The following significant contributions are made by Dr Nahak (i) obtain special kind of inequalities, namely Hardy type inequalities and Opial type inequalities for fractional derivatives. (ii) obtain some results on unconstrained reformulations of constrained optimization problems. (iv) establish existence results of various types of VI-CP-EP under generalized monotonicity assumptions. (vi) obtain optimality and duality results in set valued optimization (vii) study existence of fixed points in ordered Kand b-metric spaces. (viii) obtain significant results of variational and control problems, notion of convexity in sense of fractional calculus. (ix) study existence and uniqueness solutions of implicit semidefinite and co-positive complementarity problems, solvability of the system of implicit generalized order complementarity problems. Presently working with the Zabreiko’s Lemma in problems of best approximation and optimization,.
