Myself and my research group studied different research areas. These may be may be divided into three parts:
Studying of Reliability properties:
We had studied the reliability properties of a k-out-of-n system equipped with cold standby components. Also the reliability of a coherent system equipped with cold standby components. Our papers has been published in some of the well known journals such as Communication in Statistics-Theory and Method, Metrika etc. My research plan is to explore this area further.
Stochastic Aging and ordering:
In the field of reliability engineering and survival analysis studying the reliability characteristics of coherent systems play an important role. To enhance the reliability characteristics of a system, redundant (spares) components are provided to its components. In reliability theory and its applications the problem of where and how to allocate these redundant components is considered in order to optimize the lifetime or reliability notions of the system. We have used the theory of stochastic orders in order to study the reliability notions of some important models in Reliability Theory. Our papers has been published in some of the well known journals such as Communication in Statistics-Theory and Method, Journal of Applied Probability, Statistics and Probability Letters, Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, Metrika, Statistica Neerlandica, Operations Research Letters, European Journal of Operational Research. My research plan is to explore this area further.
Entropy and Extropy.
In addition to these areas I will explore Stochastic Processes, Stochastic Processes in Finance, Queuing theory, Renewal Theroy and related area in next five years.
