The core areas of my research include Health Promotion and Health Behavior focusing on non-communicable diseases and lifestyle issues, mental health, and geriatric issues, and One Health with particular focus on Antimicrobial Resistance. I am interested in research on marginalized and vulnerable population as well with a focus on addressing the health issues through health behavioral interventions. As part of my specialization, I often undertake activities for validation of different study tools. With a community-based, rigorously analytical, and data-driven outlook my objective is to generate reliable evidence which can be used for policy related decision making. For this reason my area of research focusses health behavior and related decision models. My vision is to further advance this field of research through community-level epidemiological studies and using innovative intervention designs.
