My research is primarily focused on studying Transition Metal Oxides (TMOs), especially in the thin film heterostructure form. TMOs are a special class of materials exhibiting a plethora of properties such as Magnetism, Superconductivity, and Ferroelectricity. The intimate coupling among the Charge, Spin, Lattice, and Orbital degree of freedoms in TMOs provides an ideal opportunity to investigate emergent phenomena and functionalities beyond those expected in conventional semiconductors. These attributes make TMOs as viable systems for developing oxide based electronics.
