Dynamically involved in postharvest processing and preservation related education and research for more than a decade. In due course of time, learned and demonstrated ability in both academic and industry sectors involving project managements, solving industrial problems, guiding and teaching postgraduate students. Able to help incite teamwork and network with businesses and public organizations to create wealthy partnerships. Explicitly have hands-on experience in the areas of food formulations, product and process development, sensory studies, estimation of engineering properties of food materials, compositional studies, and heat-mass transfer analysis. Extensively worked on starch gelatinization and its impact at microscopic and macroscopic level as a part of doctoral research. Served as a Postdoctoral researcher at University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia and Centre for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lethbridge College, Canada, for over two years on projects dealing with table olive processing and mechanization, non-destructive quality estimation of tree nuts, and onfarm grain handling and drying.
