In view of the current trends in the widespread use of AI which is bringing technology that is pervading and various aspects of technology and societal progress, it is imperative for our country to focus on Artificial Intelligence. IIT Kgp has a unique capability of playing a critical role in this AI revolution and it aims to accelerate the effort by identifying key areas of focus and investing in the success of this technology. Academic and industry collaborations and interdisciplinary efforts are very essential to enable the use of AI to transform different industries. IIT Kgp can also play a key role in teaching programs to reduce the skill gap in AI.
