Responsibilities

  • Member, Council of Dean, Students Affairs

Research Areas

  • Experimental rock mechanics
  • Fracture mechanics
  • Rock slope and dump stability
Research interest includes:
Experimental Rock Mechanics:  The research is focused on shear behavior of rock joints or replicas to understand the shear mechanism and joint properties.
Fracture mechanics: The aim is to determine fracture toughness of rocks in different modes and using it in field applications.
Rock Slope and dump stability: The primary focus is to find material properties of rock/dump material by in-situ testing  and comparision of these properties with laboratory results. .
Mining Methods: Development of new mining methods for sustainable mining.
