I am trained in rural sociology, focusing on community-based natural resource management and common studies. Some of my interests also lie in allied areas like environmental sociology, law and society, sociology of science and technology, and gender and technology. I work predominantly on agricultural practices, rural development, and food provisioning. However, I also acknowledge the rural-urban continuum and focus on the urban domain, broadening my research perspective. Recently I have been working on cultural commons, civic food networks, and smart cities. I am interested in potential collaborations across different disciplines in allied areas.
